TIGER MAGPIE LIMITED EDITION PRINT
ENDLESS JOY EDITIONS — ONLY 100 MADE
In a dreamlike tableau that evokes the naive wonder of Henri Rousseau’s art brut style, a tiger crouches under the twisted boughs of a pine tree. Its striped body ripples with tension, muscles coiled like springs, while its wide, glaring eyes betray a mixture of ferocity and curiosity.

THE ARTWORK
The tiger’s expression teeters between menace and confusion, as if caught between its primal instincts.
Before it stands a magpie, small yet defiant, perched on a rock beside blooming flowers. The delicate orange and pink blossoms echo the fragility of life against the tiger’s raw power. The bird chirps as though delivering a message—one that only the tiger, with all its strength, cannot grasp. The tiger is nature untamed, while the magpie, steeped in folklore, symbolises cunning, intelligence, and perhaps even a playful defiance.
The scene’s flat planes and rich colours are imbued with folkloric symbolism. The tiger, a protector and destroyer in many mythologies, mirrors the cosmos’ duality of chaos and order. The magpie, often seen as a trickster or bearer of luck, stands firm as a reminder that the small and clever may outwit even the mighty. The backdrop—a serene blue sky and distant mountains—heightens the surreal, dreamlike quality, creating a world that feels timeless.
