Distorted and exaggerated palm trees are painted in an expressionist style with rough brushwork and a primitivist composition.
These tropical palm trees are angular by nature, expressive and slightly wonky; some are fruiting yellow coconuts and the trees appear to be sloping down as if their green fronds are weathering a storm.
As dream symbols, palm trees symbolise our ability to rise above conflict and spread our light brilliantly– letting it shine over the din of petty concerns – rising above disillusionment like the sun itself.
