“You ever think,” the squid would ask, its voice crawling up your spine, “that we’re just a passing thought in a much bigger mind?”
I laughed. What else was there to do? We were past caring.
Time? Gone.
Gravity? Forget it.
There was just the squid—looming, grinning, spilling wisdom like jazz that hit like a punch to your gut.
“You’ve got to stop thinking,” the squid said one night—“Thinking’s a cage. Realisation is liberation. Set yourself free.”
And with that… we did. No thoughts in our heads, just two rebels lost in the dark, drunk on curiosity, high on the madness of it all. No answers. Who needs them when you’re alive, right now, in this glorious chaos?
We’re like radical stars, burning bright on our way to oblivion—and we’re gonna light up the sky while we still can.
