TYPHON BLACK WIDE LEG COTTON CANVAS TROUSER LIMITED EDITION of 100

Thousands of years after the first Olympian War, Gaia was enraged at the defeat of the Titans (her children), and of how they were locked away in Tartarus. She was also angry that her second brood of children, the Giants, were also defeated by the Olympian Gods. She attempted revenge by sending her last and most powerful child, the great monster Typhon, to destroy the Olympians.

FURTHER READING

Typhon was one of the most grotesque and powerful mythological beings, reaching as high as the stars, his hands reaching east and west with a hundred dragon heads on each, his bottom half composed of gigantic hissing viper coils, and his whole body covered in wings and with fire flashing from his eyes.

Typhon was so powerful that he struck fear even into the Olympian Gods. He was the last son of Gaia (the Earth) and Tartarus (the violent, bottomless Underworld). Typhon alone is the greatest foe the gods ever faced, even mightier than the Titans and Giants themselves. Having never anticipated such a powerful rival, the Olympian Gods were forced into hiding, except for the mighty Zeus who faced Typhon alone for control over the cosmos.

During the elemental battle between the rival powers, Olympus trembled at their strife and the very earth groaned under the grappling powers. The sky was stricken with rolls of deafening thunder and cleft by lightning, even the winds were set aflame, carrying the ruinous fire through every end of the globe. So far echoed the tumult that even Hades, governing the dead, shook with trepidation upon his infernal throne, while deep in Tartarus, the Titans were gripped by horror.

However, Zeus gathered all his might and smote Typhon down with his thunderbolts. Zeus then threw Mount Etna on top of his foe, trapping him under the mountain. Typhon’s raw power caused lava to ignite from the mountain top, in the form of a volcano.

After the defeat of her last and most powerful child, Gaia admitted defeat and fell back to sleep, allowing the Olympian Gods to rule over the cosmos.
