A strange encounter deep in a jungle from a distant dreamland. Large flowers protrude from the undergrowth, animals peep through the trees and a silhouetted figure emerges from the forest playing a golden flute.

The female figure reaches out a hand to the startled leopard, she is wrapped in a deep red sarong, her black hair flows over her bronze skin... she is both wild and alluring. Born from the jungle the human characters in this painting do not appear separate but instead are part of the natural environment and seem to offer a calming presence as if to say— they are the stewards or caretakers of this wild land.
Painted in warm tones of gold, grey and red, the image is rendered in a naïve Post-Impressionist style reminiscent of Henri Rousseau.
